Woodbutchers Anonymous was established in 1993 by John Crofts. Work includes fine furniture, sculpture and letter carving carried out to commission or sold through galleries. We also undertake commissions to design internal joinery for new build houses, which includes unique staircases, doors, skirtings and architraves. We receive commissions from customers throughout Britain and Europe.
Commissioning Process:
After an initial meeting to discuss our client’s needs we produce some sketches for the client to approve. We then prepare scaled drawings, costings and a programme for the client to approve. There is usually a minimum of 6 months waiting time before work can start and some of the bigger commissions can take 6 months or longer to complete. Whatever your requirements – fine furniture, sculpture, letter carving or specialist joinery – Woodbutchers Anonymous can meet your needs.
Ethical Policy:
- All our timber used comes from managed woodlands.
- Our electricity comes from renewable suppliers.
- We bank with an ethical bank.
- We use an ethical telephone company.
- Where possible we use environmentally friendly wood finishes and thinners on all work.
- Most of our waste is recycled.
